I was suffering from a very serious spinal injury when I was referred to Dr. Raj V. Kakarlapudi (Dr. K) of Commonwealth Orthopedic Center. The spinal injury limited my ability to walk upright or to stand steadily with normal gait. I left the hospital less than two days after Dr. K. performed a very successful surgery on me, confident, relaxed, and comfortable with my ability to walk upright and to care of myself and my family.

The care that I received from Dr. K. and his medical and office staff before and after the surgery was outstanding and should be commended for their dedication, commitment and professionalism. I am very grateful to Dr.K. and his entire staff and have recommended to everyone I know that should they need spine related disease care or surgery, Dr. Kakarlapudi's office is the only place to go. My name is Louise Deaton, and I would like to share with you my experience with my back surgery done on September 17, 2010. First of all, I had been in severe pain in my lower back and all the way down my left leg to my foot since April 1, 2010. I went to see Dr. K. and he ordered an MRI. I had a herniated lower disk that was pressing on the nerve that goes down my leg. Dr. K. explained everything to me about the surgery including the do's and don'ts after the surgery and all the things that could happen during surgery. I was in surgery approx. 4 hours, in Recovery for 2 hrs and then went home the same day. My pain was gone except for the process of sitting or rising from a chair from the surgery itself. I haven't had any pain since that day and I am very grateful to Dr. K. He also has a great bedside manner and all his staff in his office were very nice and helpful and made me feel special. I have recommended him to several people that have similar problems that I had and I will continue to recommend him and his staff to everyone. Thank You
